Fable - The Lost Chapters
|
Fable: The Lost Chapters is a remake of the 2004 Xbox RPG Fable, developed by Lionhead Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios for Windows and Xbox in September 2005. The game is currently being ported to Mac OS X by Feral Interactive. The Windows version had only a few minor differences from the Xbox version.
Fable: The Lost Chapters features all the content found in the original Fable, as well as additional new content such as new monsters, weapons, items, armor, towns, buildings, and expressions. The story receives further augmentation in the form of nine new areas and sixteen additional quests. Characters such as Briar Rose and Scythe, who were unimportant in the original game (Scythe was not even mentioned, and Briar Rose only appeared twice), are now given more importance and are included in certain quests and side quests. Using the in-game menu systems, the player can examine their character's basic details such as romance information (which includes sexuality, number of spouses, number of weddings, number of divorces, etc.), or other details such as their title. The 1.5 edition of the game, entitled Postal²: Share The Pain extended the game with a multiplayer mode as well as the extra levels and other improvements of the 1337 patch, but it was not an expansion pack and did not require the original Postal² game. The Macintosh version of Postal² shipped only as Postal²: Share The Pain. Share the Pain has since far eclipsed the original production version of Postal² in all markets. Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green
|
The game is a prequel to the Land of the Dead film, and takes place during the initial outbreak of the zombie epidemic. Players take the role of Jack, a humble country farmer cut off from civilization who one day finds his farmhouse besieged by a group of zombies. Jack fights his way through the zombies, first across the countryside to his neighbour's farm, then through the abandoned ruins of a nearby city. Jack ultimately manages to escape to the City of the Living with the help of a trucker named Otis he befriended at a police station, a fortified human enclave set up by Mr. Kaufman as a safe haven from the undead hordes. Jack is hired by Kaufman to clear out a luxury high-rise, Fiddler's Green, by killing all the zombies inside so that the humans can move in.
There are only two human characters in the entire game: Jack himself, and an escaped convict named Otis who allies with Jack for a couple of missions. An un-named doctor and Mr. Kaufman from the film also briefly appear in a couple cutscenes, but have no dialogue. Downloads ~ |

Mafia is set in the 1930s, between the fall of 1930 through to the end of 1938, during the later part of Prohibition, which ended in 1933.
The game is set in the fictional American city of 'Lost Heaven' (loosely based on New York City and Chicago of the same time period).
The player takes the role of taxi driver Thomas (Tommy) Angelo, who, while trying to make a living on the streets of Lost Heaven, unexpectedly and unwillingly becomes involved in organized crime as a driver for the Salieri crime family, led by Don Salieri.
Through the events of the game's story, Tommy begins to rise through the ranks of the Salieri 'family', which is currently battling the competing Morello family, led by the sharply-dressed Don Morello. Eventually becoming disillusioned by his life of crime and violence, Tommy arranges to meet a detective (Detective Norman) in order to tell him his story, to be given witness-protection, and to aid the detective in the destruction of the Salieri crime family. The 'Intermezzo' chapters of the game depict Tommy sitting in a cafe with the detective, relating his life story and giving out important pieces of information at the same time. |
