Hey, FOR ONCE I am staying well away from this one, and won't comment about it one iota, to keep it a fair level playing field for all.
Peeps think I have issues against it, I don't. I just mirror what others have said elsewhere after trying it out for myself, nothing wrong with that is there?
Anyway, here is a chance for lurkers, leechers, LinuXers, low lifes, MacLoozas, I.T. wannabees, M$ agents and payolas, Romulans, and anyone else who cares, to let go some serious blab about Vista.

I can’t comment on it as I’m not a user of Vista. Off course I’ve been tempted to try it but in the end I stuck with XP. The fact that wouldn’t be compatible with all software and requiring lots of ram are some of the comments that put me off, and also I’m quite happy with XP, it works fine for me, and never had any problem with it, ever. The new design of Vista is quite nice, but that’s all the difference I know between it and XP - as for the rest… no idea. When the time comes I will probably make the switch but for now I may just get a Vista skin on XP.

Tried it and don't mind it. A little overdone and you have to hack it to get it to work like it should.It could be better for the price. But it is stable and runs great after you install the last lot of patches that where released to patch SP1 and IE on the 8th April.
I have also tried SP1 with all updates to NOW, ticked off all the rubbish like Defender, Firewall, UAC and all the other “feel safe n secure” stuff and it does perform more responsively. It's a legit version owned by a customer and a fresh install with a few apps. How long it lasts that way is anyones guess. SP1 is still the same resource hog on the ram use, and the hard drive just whizzes away most of the time doing NOTHING for no reason, even when idle. Any way you interpret that, it does mean a shorter life for your drive, whether it's kosher internal file sorting, or useless pre-intelligence and “Activation cum spyinvasiveware” always in the background. The UltiMATE POS doesn't even have a visible defragger GUI either, how freakin CHEAP is that? Give me XP or Media Centre anyday, with or without a superior third party app Aero ShmAIRro equivalent!

Only a dux student of Scatology like “delligaffaFU2” who has NO POSTS, much less any comments of substance (besides leeching complaints and bushwacking loud mouthed members) would open his cakehole here, in an attempt to dent my ego, which is of course a totally futile exercise to begin with, and I highly recommend any budding aggressors not to come alone if attempting to do so. Yes I offer handicaps, and if you travel in packs we can at least have some fun till I drop the gong at my leisure.
