• Contact-centric versus dialpad-centric: Bria’s dynamic GUI focuses around the address book rather than eyeBeam’s dial pad, enabling users to manage their communications more conveniently and according to their personal preferences.
• Deskbar capability: Bria can be minimized to a deskbar, enabling the user to enjoy a manageable desktop space while still being able to make and receive calls.

For Service Providers
• Increased branding flexibility: Bria’s new skinning engine gives customers increased options to create customized applications to support their brand and meet the needs of their clients.
• Wider advertising reach: Bria’s multiple panel layout incorporates customer specified areas for branded or revenue generating advertisements such as banner ads, click-to-call and interactive video messaging, as well as custom integration with network infrastructure. Bria 2.0 is available for Windows XP and Windows 2000; versions for Windows Vista and Mac OS 10.4 and higher are scheduled for release at a future date.

Comparison to eyeBeam
Some features that are supported in eyeBeam 1.5 are currently not supported in Bria:
• Basic and attended transfer. However, Bria 2.0 does include a “quick transfer” feature.
• Call forwarding.
• Do Not Disturb for phone calls only. However, Bria 2.0 does support Do Not Disturb that blocks both phone calls and IM.
• Quality of Service, allowing the user to request (via the VoIP service provider) a specific transport service for audio, video and signaling traffic.
• Recording of audio or video
• Auto-answer
• XTunnels as a NAT and firewall traversal solution.
• SRTP for encryption of media.
• IPv6.
• The following USB devices are not supported: Actiontec Intenet Phone Wizard; Clarisys Claritel i750; Polycom® Communicator C100S Wideband USB Speakerphone; VoIP Voice Cyberphone (V550MLR USB Phone); VoIP Voice Cyberphone K (V652VVMLR USB Phone). All other USB devices that are supported by eyeBeam are also supported by Bria. These are: GN Netcom GN 8120 USB and GN Netcom 8110 USBXP; Plantronics CS50-USB Wireless Office Headset System; TigerJet RJ11 to USB Phone Adaptor (incorporating the Tiger560C); Tigerjet USB Phone Set (incorporating the
Tiger560C); Yealink USB-P1K USB hand phone.
