In Winamp 5.5 there is a small problem. DFX does not activate itself. So you have to activate it manually. Do the following.

* Press Ctrl+P in winamp main window.

* Select DSP/Effect

* Select DFX (dsp_dfx.dll)

* Close the window

* That's it
