Chinese Purple Star Astrology

Chinese Purple Star Astrology(Zi Wei Dou Shu, or ZiWei Astrology) describes your past, present and future in twelve life categories, such as Destiny, Wealth, Love, Career, Health, Children, Parents, etc. It can explain and predict the changing cycles around you. and points out one's destiny, how to avoid weaknesses and potentiate strengths. Anybody can read and consult it at any time of their life. The Purple Star Astrology was documented in the Sung Dynasty (980 to 1280AD) and probably prepared by Chen Chuan. This formula centres on the Chinese concept of Ming (life or fate). It attempts to explain why one person's Ming is so different from another's. Why do some people have good fortune, social position, riches or long life, while some others are unlucky, suffer tragedies, are poor or die young? The Ming is control led by your horoscope. Your Natal Chart comes with you at your birth (the time of your birth date).
Most people familiar with the Chinese Zodiac, which is determined by the individual's birth year, and gives a brief and interesting explanation of the person's character. However the animal sings are a simplified version of the rich legacy of Chinese astrology. This ancient art and science developed over thousands of years into two complex systems, the Four Pillars of Destiny (Ba Zi) and the Purple Star ( Zi Wei Dou Shu).
The moment when we come to the world, with our first breath we are exposed to the prevailing chi, the dominating universal forces, which set the dynamic pattern of our destiny.
According to the Chinese belief our fate is not inevitable, our actions can alter our destiny. Where we are coming from and where we are going is determined by the interactions of Heaven Chi, Earth Chi and Man Chi. Chinese astrology help us to understand those forces and their patterns, so we'll be able to choose - use our free will - which path we will walk in our journey of life.
The calculation of the Four Pillars chart is based on a person's date, time and place of birth. The interpretation of the Four Pillars chart clearly indicates the opportunities and possibilities in the person's career, relationships, romance, health and wealth and also the right timing for proper action.
The Purple Star Astrology is the other traditional system of Chinese fate calculation, based on the Pole Star and the constellations, which relates to it.

WHO Model Formulary 2006

In 1995 the WHO Expert Committee on the Use of Essential Drugs recommended that WHO develop a Model Formulary which would complement the WHO Model List of Essential Drugs (the ‘Model List’). It was considered that such a Model Formulary would be a useful resource for countries wishing to develop their own national formulary. The first edition of the Model Formulary was issued in August 2002. It has proved difficult in practice to maintain in the Model Formulary the section headings and numbering system of the Model List. The main reason was that the sections of the Model List are not always useful as therapeutic categories, and do not easily lend themselves to introductory evaluative statements. Small changes were therefore introduced. The Model Formulary has also repeated information about essential medicines under other relevant therapeutic categories. The small differences between the classification of the Model List and of the Model Formulary should not be a major problem for users who can access information through the contents list or through the main index, which includes both drug names and disease terms. The Model List and the Model Formulary are available electronically on the WHO Essential Medicines Library website (mednet3.who.int/eml); search facilities and links between the Model Formulary and the Model List provide easy access to relevant information. The electronic version of the Model Formulary is also available on CD-ROM, intended as a starting point for developing national or institutional formularies. National or institutional committees can use the text of the Model Formulary for their own needs by adapting the text, or by adding or deleting entries to align the formulary to their own list of essential medicines. The Model Formulary has been translated into Arabic, Russian and Spanish. This edition of the Model Formulary is fully compatible with the 14th WHO Model List of Essential Medicines as recommended by the WHO Expert Committee on the Selection and Use of Essential Medicines at its meeting of March 2005. For a list of the more significant changes in this edition see Changes to the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines. This edition was again prepared in close collaboration between the WHO Department of Essential Drugs and Medicines Policy and the editorial team of the British National Formulary.

Creative Visualization (Paperback)

When it comes to creating the life you want, Shakti Gawain literally wrote THE book. Now considered a classic, Creative Visualization teaches readers how to use their imaginations to manifest their deepest desires. In a straight-talking narrative, Gawain uses the first part to cover the basics, with chapters such as, "How to Visualize", "Affirmations", and "Creative Visualization Only Works for the Good". Once she shows readers how the visualisation process actually works, Gawain moves onto loftier discussions such as "Contacting Your Higher Self", "Meeting Your Guide", "Setting Goals" and "Treasure Maps".Fear not, this isn't a spiritual-lightweight book for people with severe cases of the "gimmes". Gawain has her priorities in the right place, and cautions readers that creative visualisation will not serve greed or shallow-minded thinking. For example, she discourages the cycle of trying to have more money, so you can do what you want in life, so you will be happier. "The way it actually works is the reverse", she explains. "You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want". Yet she also writes an excellent chapter on letting go of the misguided guilt that inhibits readers from becoming truly prosperous. --Gail Hudson Gawain's self-help title has sold more than three million copies in English and another three million in the more than 30 languages into which it has been translated. According to the publisher, this revised anniversary edition contains additional "meditations, exercises, and techniques that can become part of your everyday routine." The author asserts that people can achieve an ideal existence simply through mental visualization.
