pay for the service and get full advantage. All the others are not better anyway, some always tell you "all free lots full". I started paying Rapidshare two years ago and never complained since. If you chose to use the free service, it's your choice. Just think about this : if you are a heavey downloader - how much do you spend daily for other stupid servuces such as mibile phone, compared to the thousands of dollars you download monthly from Rapid ?

Look - you get what you pay for - if it's free - you can't complain. I've purchased an monthly account a few times, and used it well, and I've enjoyed not having to wait etc. I can't afford to purchase all the time, but I appreciate the unlimited service when I can afford it. RS has more quality and longer lasting posts than any other file site I've used and I say it's worth supporting. Cheers.

One really good thing about having an RS account is that you can use it as an "Off-Site Backup" facility for those really important files which you can't afford to use.

However, apart from what I just said, I am now wondering why I am paying for an account now if I can download without time restrictions as a free user. I think RS may have shot themselves in the foot.

Boy o Boy the speeds on the revapped Radidshare super suck. I have had as low as 16k (3 HRS TO DOWNLOAD 1 file out of 7)and the best has been 60k when before revappe it was 140k was norm. I am moving to megashare.

BTW download speed at my local library is about 4.5 Mbps. I usually download two files together each going at about 1.5/2.0 Mbps. the most download speed I got from a single file was 4.5 Mbps. I can download (manually: cannot install new software in them PCs = no dowload managers) about 5Gb of data in an hour. can't complain. however, at other libraries download speed was much slower ranging about 150Kbps to 500Kbps.

if you're on broadband but still getting slow speed I suggest to send RS an email with yous IP, connection, location... they may do something about it, they seem to have good customer service. (read: "customers")
