Science and Technology of Rubber, Third Edition

James E. Mark (Editor), Burak Erman (Editor), " Science and Technology of Rubber"
Academic Press | 3 edition | April 21, 2005 | ISBN: 9780124647862 | PDF | English | 15 Mb | 768 pages | RS

"The single most important property of elastomers-that from which their name derives-is their ability to undergo large elastic deformations, that is, to stretch and return..."

A wealth of technical information that can be traced directly to the literature. A well-rounded and informative book.

Provides a broad overview of elastomers and materials of rubberlike elasticity and covers a range of areas from elastomer synthesis to vulcanization to tire engineering.

The book provides a good and well presented text for the science of rubbery polymers. Each author has collected an extensive bibliography which should prove useful to post graduate specialists.

The whole volume is well referenced and indexed....I am not aware of any other single text which covers the scope of rubber chemistry and physics so fully at degree and post-graduate level. Certainly there is not one so generally up to date.
