This is the computerized, animated rain forest edition of the original Triazzle.
Game Description:
The computer puzzle pieces are triangles with each side containing either the upper or lower portion of a rainforest creature, such as a frog, snail, beetle or butterfly. The entire puzzle fits on the computer screen with room to store all of the pieces. The object is to fit the triangles together so that all the creatures are complete. Unlike the manual version, when this happens, the creatures become animated.
Dan Gilbert's Triazzle includes music, rainforest sound effects and options to get hints and time the game -- the fastest solving times are tracked.
Beginner:
There are five beginners levels (9 puzzle pieces that fit into a triangle)
Intermediate:
Five intermediate levels (12 puzzle pieces that fit into a six-point star)
Advanced:
Five advanced levels (16 puzzle pieces that fit into a triangle).
The computer generates a variety of puzzles to be solved on each level with millions of possible combinations but only one correct solution that will have all of the creatures hopping, crawling or flying off the screen.
Easier puzzles show parts of the creature's bodies around the outside of the puzzle's edge, which helps guide players as to which piece goes in each location, while more difficult puzzles don't offer this help feature. Customization of each puzzle is possible by making it more or less difficult and by choosing which rainforest creatures and backgrounds are to appear in the puzzle. For those interested, the game includes some factual information regarding rainforests.
