Big Oven v1.8.977

This software was designed to help make your cooking life easier.    With it, you can:

  1. Organize your own recipe collection!  By entering your favorite recipes, you will save time figuring out what to make each night.  You can tag your recipes with one or more keywords, making them easier to find.  And you can share your favorite recipes with friends and family via email, or posting online to the BigOven.com shared recipe archive.

  2. Discover great new recipes!   Click the "Find" button to find recipes by title, category, rating, and more.   You can look in the current recipe box, or look in BigOven.com's Recipe Archive, which contains over 100,000 recipes.  You can click "Get this Recipe" in the "View" window to import your recipe to your local recipe box.  Scale the recipes to the serving size you'd prefer by clicking on the Scale button at the bottom of the "Edit" window.

  3. Quickly create a shopping list!  Once you find recipes you like, select them and drag them onto the shopping list in the "Shopping" view.  As you add multiple recipes, the items can be combined.  Ingredients are automatically grouped by department.

  4. Plan upcoming meals for the week!  Just click "Calendar".  Find the recipes you want and drag them onto the calendar.

  5. Get nutritional information for your recipes!   Simply find the recipe you'd like, then click "Edit".  Double click on the scale icon, and link each ingredient to the USDA nutritional data already included in BigOven.  Then, click the View tab to get Nutrition Facts.
