A Woodbury, Connecticut, man has been sentenced to 30 months in prison followed by 3 years probation for operating a Web site where users could download unauthorized copies of movies, music and software titles. David M. Fish, 26, was sentenced Monday on criminal copyright infringement and circumvention charges in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in San Jose. All equipment used in the operation was confiscated.

Filesharing Report Shows Explosive Growth for uTorrent

New data on the ever changing P2P landscape shows that the number of uTorrent users worldwide has more than doubled compared to last year. The BitTorrent client is most popular in Europe - with an install rate of 11.6% - and least popular in the United States, where 5.1% of the PCs have uTorrent installed.
The data presented here are based on a sample of over a million PCs (Windows only), and were gathered by PC Pitstop.

Making Omelets
The proper pan is important for successful omelet making. For a 2 or 3 egg omelet, an 8-inch (20 cm) skillet is the best size. It should be shallow with slopping sides to make it easy to slide the finished omelet out. If too large a pan is used, the high heat necessary cannot be maintained and cooking will be prolonged, resulting in a tough omelet. A 6 or 8 egg omelet can be prepared in an electric frying pan, as it provides an even source of heat. 
Always prepare several individual omelets, rather than one large omelet. You'll find each will be lighter, fluffier, and easier to handle. Individual omelet’s can be quickly made in succession and held on serving plates in a warm oven. A good quality non-stick coating on the pan simplifies omelet making. Give an uncoated pan an almost stick free surface by treating with salt: Heat pan, and then remove from heat. Add 1 tsp (5 ml) or more of salt and dry-scrub thoroughly with paper towel. Empty salt from pan and repeat until salt remains white. The salt acts as an abrasive, leaving a satiny smooth surface. Wipe pan clean.

Windows XP SP3 RTM Released!

Microsoft has released Windows XP SP3 to manufacturers, so that means customers will be able to purchase PC’s pre installed with XP SP3 soon and also the final version of Windows XP SP3 will also be available to existing customers through Windows Update on April 29th (without the usual delay).
"Today we are happy to announce that Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) has released to manufacturing (RTM). Windows XP SP3 bits are now working their way through our manufacturing channels to be available to OEM and Enterprise customers.
We are also in the final stages of preparing for release to the web (i.e. you!) on April 29th, via Windows Update and the Microsoft Download Center. Online documentation for Windows XP SP3, such as Microsoft Knowledge Base articles and the Microsoft TechNet Windows XP TechCenter, will be updated then. For customers who use Windows XP at home, Windows XP SP3 Automatic Update distribution for users at home will begin in early summer.
